Beats Argentina with 3 balls remaining
Cayman Islands records a tight win over Argentina on Day One of the ICC World Cricket League Qualifier – Americas.
After a delay due to ground conditions at Hurlingham Club, Cayman won the toss and sent Argentina in to bat.
Paterlini opened with 28 for 55. Mulsiani upped the score by making 30 for 39 balls, including five 4s before being bowled by Alejandro Morris.
Chasing 117, Cayman’s Deno McInnis scored 32 off 47, including four 6s.
In the end, Cayman won with 3 wickets and 3 balls remaining. The game was reduced to 33 overs after overnight rain affected the outfield.
Both teams meet up again tomorrow at the Belgrano Athletic Club in Buenos Aires for Day 2.
