Plans are almost complete for this year's ICC Americas Regional Development Forum.
The Brazilian Cricket Association will host this year's Forum in Rio de Janeiro. The Regional Development Forum will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2010 and Sunday, May 2, 2010 and will be the last Forum for the countries before the implementation of the new membership criteria takes effect in June 2010.
The Regional Development Forum provides an opportunity for all member countries to get together for open discussion of cricket development issues across the Americas Region.
Tim Anderson, Development Programs Manager for the International Cricket Council will be present at this year's Forum and invitations have also be extended to the West Indies Cricket Board to attend.
The 2009 Americas Regional Development Awards will be distributed at the Forum at the dinner on Saturday night and the host association has also arranged a special bus trip for the delegates that evening to see the Statue of Christ the Redeemer. The statue is located on the 2300 foot peak of Corcovado Mountain.
