A solid all-round performance by Kamau Leverock helped Bermuda beat Canada by 72 runs at the Erskine Cricket Ground in Brooklyn, New York on day two of the ICC Americas Northern Division U15 Tournament. He was named Man of the Match after scoring 38 runs in 28 balls coming in at number four for Bermuda and then capped off his day with 3-30 in the bowling department.

Winning the toss, Canada elected to field and made an early breakthrough with two early dismissals with the score at 42. Leverock then put on a rapid assault, smashing two fours and three sixes in his 53-run stand for the third wicket with Shaquille Jones (30), the biggest partnership of the match. Skipper Shea Pitcher put on valuable runs late in the innings at number seven, scoring 39 runs in 43 balls.

Pace bowler Vidura Ratnayake was the pick of the bowlers for Canada, taking 5-19 in 5.5 overs as Bermuda was dismissed for 156 in less than 36 overs.

Canada skipper Nitesh Kumar got the innings off to a scintillating start in reply, scoring 36 in 28 balls before being dismissed by Leverock. His dismissal turned the tables for Canada, as it failed to recover from a tight bowling pressure from Bermuda, to collapse to 84 runs in 24.5 overs.

Bermuda is now on two points after two matches in the tournament and will be looking forward to take its revenge on USA on Thursday after losing the opening match against the hosts by just one run. Canada sits lower in the table with today's loss and will need to win against USA on Wednesday in Brooklyn to head up the table.
