The Cayman Islands U/15 won a dramatic match against Belize U/15 by one wicket in the ICC Americas Central Division U/15 tournament.
Batting first, Belize made 138-5 off 30 overs, with Aaron Musslar top scoring with 25 not out, with Joneil Bent taking 2-23.
The Cayman Islands' run chase got off to a shaky start with opening batsman Anthony Dawes being run out with the score only on 17.
Matthew Suberan (29) replaced Dawes and immediately stabilised his team's innings, with good support from Cato (20) and Laidlaw (20 not out).
However, despite conceding 54 extras, including an incredible 47 wides, regular wickets continued to fall, until the last pair added the one run required for victory.
The final match of the tournament will be played between Belize and the undefeated host nation The Bahamas.
