Cayman Islands win thrilling match in Americas U/15 Championships
The Cayman Islands won an exciting match against Belize by four wickets on the second day of the ICC Americas Central Division U/15 Championships.

Having won the toss and electing to bat Belize got off to a fantastic start. After losing the first wicket at 31 runs, opener Lamont Russell (54) and Jermel Flowers (25) combined for a solid 59-run second wicket partnership.

The Cayman Islands then clawed its way back into the match with four quick wickets, thereby restricting Belize to just 35 runs in the last 13 overs, as it reached 125-6 in the allotted 30 overs, with Bent taking 4-14.

In reply, the Cayman Islands started the run chase confidently with its openers posting 35 runs before the fall of the first wicket.

The next three wickets fell cheaply and the Cayman Islands suddenly saw the scoreboard reading 60-4 and momentum appeared to be shifting towards Belize.

But Edward Bodden (33 not out) and Santangelo Bush (24) led the recovery as it achieved victory with 11 balls to spare.

Host nation Bahamas will face Belize on Friday.
