Verwey picks up five-wicket haul on opening day
Namibia's Tobias Verwey picked up career best figures of 5-46 to help limit Bermuda to 214 all out in the opening day of the ICC Intercontinental Shield match between the sides played at Wanderer's Cricket Ground, Windhoek on Saturday.

Electing to bat first, Bermuda got off to a good start with opener Chris Foggo (34), skipper David Hemp (52), Steven Outerbridge (46) and then Irving Romaine (34) providing valuable contributions to lift the score to 179-6. Verwey then struck and with able support from Louis Klazinga (2-41) and Bernard Scholtz (2-15) dismissed the rest of the batsmen in 84.5 overs.

Namibia began its first innings with openers Raymond van Schoor (18 not out) and Ewaid Steenkamp (15 not out) posting 36 in nine overs at stumps.
