ICC Americas Men's Division 2 Championship Squad Preview - Argentina
Argentine players to watch in upcoming Regional Championship

Excitement builds as the ICC Americas Men's Division 2 Championship gets underway this week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Argentinian's have built a strong team under the captaincy of Alejandor Ferguson and are excited to get the tournament underway. Coach Daryl King provides some insight on a few of the key players to be watch:

Alejandro Ferguson – Captain & Wicket Keeper Batsman

'Ale', as he is known to his teammates, is one of the great Argentinian all-rounders. Looking back at the Men's Division 3 earlier this year, his work with the gloves and the bat assisted the side gain promotion to this tournament. "Ale has great natural ability in all aspects of cricket and still strives to improve himself as a player for the team", says Coach King.

Lautaro Musiani – All Rounder

Lautaro, a recipient of a cricketing scholarship in the U.K. has been working with top English county cricketers over the past year developing his cricket and moulding him into an outstanding spin bowling all-rounder. Having a successful season last year he has recently been scouted by a Northern Premier League Cricket Team who he plans to join at the start of next season. King notes, "The development of Lautaro at the age of 18 is priceless to Argentine cricket. A real player to keep your eyes on not just in the Americas but in the U.K as well".

Garry Savage – Vice-Captain and Fast Bowler

Born in South Africa, cricket for Gary Savage is in his genes. Savage is a master of understanding how to use the new ball to take those early key wickets for his team. With huge success in the domestic season, Savage has helped Argentine cricket gain 3 back to back wins in the T20 Competition and was selected as bowler of the tournament in a number of them. King speaks highly of Savage, "Gary is a great person to coach as he is always looking to improve himself and has done so over the past 8-9 months now. With his understanding of different variations and the one or two extra yards of pace he can generate he will be quite a handful in Florida", says King

The tournament commences this Thursday where Argentina play the Bahamas in their opening match at BCRP Stadium.
