On day four of the ICC Americas Division 1 Championship the Bahamas began their second round of games as the only team without a win and having won the toss they invited the Cayman Islands to bat. The highlight of the innings was a 5th wicket partnership of 57 between top scorer Ronald Ebanks and Conroy Wright, scoring 45 and 22 respectively. The Cayman Islands closed on 120 for 9. The Bahamas fielding was markedly improved and Rudolph Foxs' two catches on the boundary were prime examples. With the ball Albert Peters, Dereck Gittens and Marc Taylor all picked up 2 wickets.
The Bahamas reply was dominated by man of the match Marc Taylor who batted through the innings for 89 not out as they ran out winners by 9 wickets. The Cayman Islands contributed to their own downfall with missed catches and stumping's but Taylor struck the ball well as Bahamas picked up their first points of the tournament.
The day's second game saw tournament leaders USA entertain Suriname and saw Suriname win the toss and elect to bat first. They accumulated runs throughout their innings without ever really threatening a big score, finally totaling 110 for 6. Three players made the twenties with Sauid Drepaul top scoring with 28. For USA, three bowlers took a wicket apiece and there were three run outs.
Steven Taylor got the USA reply off to a brisk start scoring all the runs before the first wicket fell only to fall soon after as a result of a run out. Akeem Dodson and Orlando Baker then made progress towards the target but when Baker was 4th out there were still 43 required. However there were no further scares and Nicholas Stanford and Japen Patel saw the USA home with 7 balls to spare. Patel top scored with 27 not out, a knock which earned him the man of the match. Vishwar Shaw, Sauid Drepaul and Arun Gokoel all picked up a wicket.
