Canada celebrate Kenyan captain's dismissal
Canada beat Kenya by five wickets in the first of the two Twenty20 Internationals at the ICC Global Cricket Academy Oval 1 in Dubai on Friday.
Batting first Kenya posted 126 for nine in its 20 overs. In its reply, Canada overhauled the target in 18.3 overs to end at 128 for five.
Earlier, Rakep Patel (48 not out) top-scored in Kenya's innings. Alex Obanda (22) and Nehemiah Odhiambo (26) were the other key contributors.
Henry Osinde (3-36), Junaid Siddiqui (3-10) and Jimmy Hansra (2-13) were the other key wicket-takers for Canada.
In its response, Hiral Patel (40) top-scred in the chase as Canada overhauled the target despite losing wickets at regular intervals.
For Kenya, Shem Ngoche (2-18) and Hiren Varaiya (2-23) were the best bowlers.
