USA U19 side get off to winning start

The USA's U19 team received a boost ahead of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup after achieving an excellent four-wicket practice match victory over a Canterbury Select X1.

Canterbury made 167 all out off 48.3 overs with Salman Ahmad taking 3-27 and Hammad Shahid taking 2-23.

In reply, the USA crumbled to 28-4, losing Abhijit Joshi and Ryan Corns to the first two balls of the innings!

Mohammad Asad Ghous played a match-winning innings of 47 not out, with good support from Saqib Saleem, who made 38 not out, to achieve victory with five overs to spare.
