Ben Kavenagh has been appointed the new ICC Americas Regional Development Manager (RDM), replacing Martin Vieira who retires at the end of 2012 following 9 years in post.
Mr Kavenagh is currently the CEO of South Adelaide Football Club having previously worked in an executive role in Basketball. He has also been involved in a range of community cricket activities.
"We are delighted to have secured someone of Ben's experience and ability for this important development role within world cricket," said ICC's Global Development Manager Tim Anderson.
"Martin Vieira has made an outstanding contribution to the growth of our Great Sport in the Americas Region and we are therefore grateful for his long and dedicated service," Mr Anderson added.
Mr Kavenagh will commence a hand over period towards the end of November, then begin the RDM role on 1 January 2013.
Forming part of the Pepsi ICC Development Programme, ICC Americas works with the 17 ICC Associate and Affiliate Members of the Region, and the West Indies Cricket Board, to implement ICC's vision of building a bigger, better global game throughout North and South America.
