Michael Muirhead was confirmed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) at a meeting of the Board of Directors in Barbados over the weekend of September 15 and 16.
Muirhead replaces Dr. Ernest Hilaire, who submitted his last report at the meeting.
The Board approved the decision of the WICB Cricket Committee to retain the Selection Panel of Chairman Clyde Butts, Robert Haynes and Courtney Browne for another two-year term from October 2012.
The Board also approved an increase in the number of Annual Retainer Contracts (ARCs) to be offered to male players from 15 to 20 for 2012-2013.
The Board approved the list of players to be offered the contracts but will be announced at a later date once the players have been advised and offered the ARCs.
The Draft Schedule of Cricket (DSC) for 2012-2013 will not be publicly released at this time.
