Scotland and Canada suffer complete wash-out
Day four of the ICC Intercontinental Cup match between Scotland and Canada at Uddingston has been abandoned, resulting in no play being possible throughout the entire four days.
As in many parts of the UK, rain has blighted games throughout the week and large puddles on the outfield left a simple decision for the umpires long before the scheduled start of 10.15am.
In the event of an ICC Intercontinental Cup match being abandoned without a ball being bowled, each side is awarded 10 points.
As a result, Scotland move above Afghanistan into second place in the table while Canada pick up their first points of the campaign after three defeats.
The teams will hope for better luck with the weather when they bid to do battle again on Monday and Wednesday in Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Championship ODIs at the Grange in Edinburgh.
