ICC Americas is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Clifford Cox.
For decades he has contributed to the game in Canada, he was a passionate lover of Cricket both in British Columbia and Canada. He was a cool, calm administrator who brought a voice of reason to most debates, and expressed the logic needed to move the game forward.
A well liked individual by both ends of the political spectrum, Clifford will go down in Canadian Cricket history as one of the true servants of the game.
ICC Americas would like to extend to his wife Doreen, daughters Elizabeth and Joanne and the entire Cox family our deepest sympathy and condolences.
Regional Development Manager, Martin Vieira stated “ I’ve known and worked with Coxey for several decades, if there was any truth to the saying good things come in small packages it would apply to Clifford, he was a giant of a contributor to the game. A great sense of humour and an uncanny ability to stay cool and calm at all times. He will be sadly missed and his passing creates a tremendous void for Cricket in Canada. My condolences to his family and to Cricket Canada. “
