Argentina takes 2011 Women's South American Championship
Cricket Brasil would like to thank the three visiting countries for making such a big effort to get to Brasilia for the 2011 Women?s South American Championship. The tournament boasted three splendid days of sunshine which led to many excellent close countered games.

Game 1 - Chile v Brazil: Erika Reinehr (BRA): 29 runs and the only six of the tournament
Game 2 - Peru v Argentina: Clara Culley (ARG): 66 runs
Game 3 - Chile v Peru: Kate Smith (CHI): 40 not out
Game 4 - Argentina v Brazil: Juliana Brito (BRA): 29 not out, 10 runs off of 4 overs (4-0-10-0)
Game 5 - Brazil v Peru: Rachel Maingot (BRA): 3 wickets for 2 runs
Game 6 - Argentina v Chile: Dirce Yuli (ARG): 78 not out

The Tournament Individual Awards:

Best Batter: Dirce Yuli (ARG) - 138 runs
Best bowler: Sharon Seaton (ARG) - 5 wickets

Revelation: Jade Rodriguez - 11 years old, 4 wickets

1st Place and WSAC Champions: Argentina
2nd Place: Brazil
3rd Place: Chile
4th Place: Peru

This is the first time that four teams have competed at the women's SAC event and it was fantastic. Hopefully this sets the standard for many future years to come.
