The Cayman Islands defeat the Bahamas on Day One
The change in venue from Haynes Oval to Windsor Park due to a rain soaked pitch did not hinder the performance of the Caymanians. They won the toss and sent the Bahamas to bat first. Kevin Valsaint and Earl Thomas opened the batting and they got off to a slow start and had scored 19 runs before Ajani Anderson from Cayman rocked his stops back for the first wicket. Both teams appeared to be nervous or too excited to play each other and it showed with the batting and bowling. Dwight Weakley Jr. joined Thomas at the wicket and they took the score to 59 before Weakley was dismissed by David Lee the spinner as Weakley dash down the wicket to hit him over the top and missed the ball. Jamal Rolle scored 21 runs for the Bahamas. David Lee from Cayman Islands took 3 wickets for 15 runs in 6 overs and the Bahamas final score was 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 30 overs.

Wayne Cato and David lee opened for Cayman and they were looking solid when Dwight Weakley Jr. trapped Wayne Cato LBW for the first wicket. Lee was joined by Gregory Davis who topped scored with 35 runs not out. Cayman easily defeated the Bahamas.
