The Mexican Cricket Association has announced plans to increase the number of Mexican players interested in playing the game.

It aims to create a second division of three teams, which will focus on developing new home-grown younger players.

The MCA is also planning to expand the game outside of Mexico City. As well as the Cancun Cricket Club being based at a new home, at the local baseball stadium, the MCA will be hoping to develop facilities in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara.
