ICC Americas teams get set to begin qualifying journey
Teams from the ICC Americas region will begin their attempts to qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 2012 on Monday.

The six-team ICC Americas Division 3 qualifying event, which will take place in Costa Rica, will see the hosts take on Belize, Chile, Falkland Islands, Mexico and Peru.

The winner of the event will then progress to Division 2 in April to join Bahamas, Brazil, Panama, Suriname and Turks and Caicos Islands.

Teams would then have to make it through ICC Americas Division 1 and a global qualifier if they are to play in Sri Lanka in the ICC World Twenty20 2012.

Six Associate and Affiliate teams will play in a newly expanded ICC World Twenty20 2012 event.
