Brazil's preparations for the ICC Americas Division 3 received a boost with an excellent 3-0 series in over Mexico.
In the opening game, Brazil smashed 284-8 off 40 overs, with Matt Featherstone's century the key to the large total, although Greigor Caisley and Rubab Ulislam also scored half centuries. In reply, Mexico fell 64 runs short of its target as it finished on 220-8, with Sunny Randolph taking 4-38.
The second match of the series was 30 overs a side, although batting first Mexico was dismissed for 100 all out in the 28th over. In reply, Brazil reached its target in the 17th over with opener Fasih Uddin top scoring with 29.
In a dramatic final of the game of the series, Brazil was 142 all out, before off-spinner Viren Narula's six wickets helped dismiss Mexico for 126 all out to secure a 16-run win.
The four-team ICC Americas Division 3 event runs from 9-12 October, with the competing teams including Belize, Brazil, Chile and Peru.
