In the championship decider in the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium it was honours to USA who made it 5 in a row with a 23 run victory over Canada. The USA won the toss and elected to bat in a game reduced to 36 overs by some morning rain. Openers Taylor and Mirza shared the largest partnership with 37 but wickets fell steadily after that and USA closed on 143-8. Pathan was the pick of the Canadian attack with 4-30. Canada?s reply was possibly a little slow as they reached 58-2 after 20 overs. As the pressure built the wickets fell and they were all out for 120 with 10 balls left. The wickets were shared but Ahmad was made MVP for his 2-20 as the umpires felt his spell changed the course of the game.
Argentina played Bermuda at Brian Piccolo Park and were no doubt hoping to build on their previous days result against the Bahamas. However they were destroyed by some top quality pace bowling from Bell with 5-6, and Maybury with 5-15, and found themselves all out for 22 in less than 14 overs. Burgess and White reached the total with no drama as Bermuda secured third place overall and Bell claimed the Man of the Match for his performance.
