Brian Lara shared his experience with Bermuda cricketers
Bermuda's national cricketers got the opportunity of a lifetime when they trained with legendary former West Indies batsman Brian Lara.
Lara spent time at the National Stadium coaching, speaking and training with the players from the Bermuda national team on Tuesday afternoon. Also present at the one-day clinic were cricketers from all age-groups and even a few female cricketers.
Lara was in Bermuda as a guest player at the PGA Grand Slam of golf.
Lara spoke to the players about the pride in represent the West Indies for close to two decades.
Bermuda's national coach David Moore told Bernews: "This is a great opportunity for cricketers and coaches of Bermuda to observe and listen to one of the world's greatest batsman and discuss how he batted throughout his illustrious career."
Lara also trained with Bermuda cricketers, warmed up with some drills and stretches. Later, Lara also took part in a net session where he discussed with players how he sets himself for an innings, his batting plans. He also discussed ways to play spin and pace bowling.
