The Bahamas cricket team is gearing up for the challenge at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 8 to be played from 6-12 November, Kuwait.
Bahamas Cricket Association (BCA) president Sidney Deveaux sounded confident about the prospects of the team in the competition.
The Bahamas will have to finish in the top two to be promoted into Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division Seven to be staged in Botswana from 1-8 May. Teams that have already qualified for that tournament are hosts Botswana, Japan, Nigeria and Norway.
Deveaux told Freeport News: "The team is very excited to travel to Kuwait. The team members are more focused and ready to play. There are a few minor adjustments, about three or four new players will be added to the team which will make it a lot stronger."
The team will play a few practice games in Kuwait before the tournament gets underway. Alongwith the senior team even the juniors will be travelling to Florida in December for an age-group tournament.
