Arshad Ali was the hero for the UAE as it moved into a strong position against Bermuda on the second day of the ICC Intercontinental Shield match in Hamilton.
Arshad Ali struck 126 as UAE declared on 356-6, with Rodney Trott and Joshua Gilbert both taking three wickets for the home team.
Bermuda, who had crumbled to just 56 all out on the opening day of the match, then put in a strong batting display in reply.
Chris Foggo (45 not out) and Stephen Outerbridge (42 not out) helped Bermuda to 107-1 by the close, still trailing by 193 runs.
