Host Bermuda romped to their third victory as they completed their easy part of the schedule. Today's victim was the Cayman Islands.
Bermuda must be concerned about their top order failure as again today they dug themselves into a hole at the start of their innings, being 27/3.
A fourth wicket partnership of 109 between Stephen Outerbridge (65) and Janeiro Tucker (77) steadied the ship and enabled them to set a target of 247 after their 50 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Ronald Ebanks captured 5/49 to lead the Cayman Islands bowling attack.
In reply the Cayman Islands batsmen showed little intentions of chasing the target with as lack lustre effort. Bowlers Jordan De Silva with brilliant figures of 10-2-16-3, and Jim West, 7-0-17-3, made it an uncomfortable task for the visitors who could only muster 99 runs in the 38.3 overs they faced.
Bermuda on top of the table with Canada will play the USA tomorrow and the Canadians on Thursday to close out the round robin 50 over segment of the tournament.
