Bermuda dreams of a successful tournament at home
Bermuda top-order batsman Stephen Outerbridge believes that playing at home ground in the Pepsi ICC Americas World Cricket League Division 1 will be an advantage for the side but it will also bring with it added pressure of performing well in front of passionate supporters.

The game is one of the most popular sports in the island and the locals even celebrate a two-day public holiday in which cricket is played to celebrate the emancipation of slavery.

Outerbridge said: "Playing at home has its advantages but you tend to be under pressure with the home crowd expecting you to perform well. How we handle this pressure will determine how much of an advantage playing at home really is."

"However, whenever you play at home a team's competence is very high. In this tournament, it will be no different. We are confident that we will be successful if we play to our full potential," he added.

The team has been training hard twice a week combined with personalized one-to-one sessions and individual gym sessions ahead of the event.

On team strengths and weaknesses, he said: "Currently we are a young inexperienced side but on any given day we can be explosive in any of the main disciplines in cricket. Our challenge for this tournament and going forward is to basically bring this explosiveness to the forefront regularly and become more consistent and disciplined."

Looking back at Bermuda's performance in the ICC Intercontinental Shield, where it lost both its matches against Uganda and Namibia, Outerbridge stated: Obviously we are disappointed with our performances; however we have struggled in the longer form of the game for quite some time now. The Bermuda Cricket Board is working on a strategy to get us playing more four-day cricket so that we become more competitive in the future."

The full squad is as follows: David Hemp (captain), Stephen Outerbrifge, Jekon Edness, Rodney Trott, Josclyn Pitcher, Christopher Foggo, Fiqre Crockwell, Malachi Jones, Jordan DeSilva, Irving Romaine, Shanon Rayner, Ryan Steede, Janerio Tucker, Kyle Hodsoll, Tamauri Tucker, KevinTucker, Terryne Fray, James West
