Canada announces squad for Americas WCL Division 1
Cricket Canada has announced its squad for the upcoming ICC Americas World Cricket League Division 1 to be held in Bermuda later this month.

Rizwan Cheema will captain the team, taking over from Ashish Bagai who is rehabilitating his injured knee, while Khurram Chohan will be his deputy. Speaking to Cricket Canada website, Chairman of Selectors Chris James said: "With Ashish unavailable for this tour, we are looking to Rizwan and Chohan to lead this team to a good performance. We have confidence in our young players to perform in this competition but are looking to see some good contributions from the senior players as well."

National head coach, Pubudu Dassanayake, was pleased with the squad and is looking forward to the tournament: "We have just come out of a tough tour of the West Indies and are looking to build up into the ICC Americas WCL Division 1 event and continue on into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Our expectations from the selected squad are high and we are looking to reassert ourselves in the region."
